about ⇎

Rama Rejman is a Brooklyn based jewelry designer and metalsmith. Her work is inspired by the aesthetic of minimalist architecture and motifs of industrial design, using the bold simplicity of lines and form to create pieces of wearable sculpture. Jewelry has been in Rama's blood since birth, and is the culmination of generations of craftsmanship - her father being a designer and manufacturer in the same industry. An enduring interest in art and culture has always been at the forefront of Rama's creative process, shaping her approach to design and the understanding of her craft. Rama was formally trained in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.

Jewelry Care Instructions:

-To protect the original finish, always remove jewelry when washing hands, showering, or swimming.

-To clean, use a soft bristle brush such as an old toothbrush, and make a paste of baking soda, soap and a little bit of water. Gently brush the jewelry for a few minutes, rinse with water, and pat to dry.

-Jewelry is best stored in dry conditions, away from moisture and humidity. Keeping jewelry in ziplock bags also helps to limit oxidation.

-Patina, Oxidation, Tarnish - A natural reaction for many metals such as silver, brass and copper. It happens over time as the metal is exposed to air and the elements. Natural oils from the fingers and skin may also contribute to some items tarnishing faster. Some products and chemicals may cause unpredictable reactions, so put jewelry on last after you have applied sunscreen, perfume or hair product.
